Town of Jackson

When you start exploring Jackson, you will quickly grow to adore the small, vibrant, western town that offers the best of the arts, entertainment, hospitality and friendly faces. Here you will find all types of individuals; some here permanently, others seasonally, some on a journey passing through. The common theme is the love of the town and the beautiful surrounding area.

Jackson boasts an intriguing history - from the amazing stories of the early pioneers and their struggles to the progressive choice to form America's first all-women city council.  The community was also pivotal in the growth of America's conservation efforts, serving as the gateway to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks as well as the home of the National Elk Refuge.

Although we are proud to be a part of some of the West’s most interesting history and beautiful landscapes, we know that Jackson isn’t only known for its past.  Today Jackson is a thriving community, offering endless recreational options, award winning schools and educational programs, globally recognized expedition outfitters, culinary treasures, boutique shopping, an active local government, hundreds of non-profits and so much more.
